- Friday 16.47 hr. Race 78. Heats 1000 meter ladies race 5. Xiao-Lei Cheng (HCN) won the race in a time of 1.34.920. The 2nd place was for Marianne St-Gelais (CAN). Marina Gorgieva-Nikolova became 3rd and also qualified. The 4th place in this race was for Christin Priebst (GER).
