New Icerink for Frogner stadium Oslo
9 October 2020
- The oldest artificial 400 meter Icerink of Europe, the Frogner stadium in Oslo which was build in 1901, is expanded with a newly build Indoor hall for figure skating, shorttrack and Ice hockey. The surface will be around 1600 m2 and will have 300 seats. The hall will be named after the famous Norwegian figure skater Sonja Henie who won a gold medal at 3 Olympic Winter Games. The Ice hall will be perfectly integrated in the landscape. The top of the roof will be planted with moss and follows the roundings of the landscape around the building. The walls are made of granite and will have a lot of glass windows, what gives a beautifull contact between the activities inside and outside the building.
