Season 1975-1976

1 May 1976   -   * The first ISU Shorttrack Speedskating Competition was held on 9-11 April 1976 at Champaign-Illinois (USA). It was the first serious effort to have a truly "International" competition under the flag of the International Skating Union. Skaters from 8 countries attended this event organized by William Markland of Champaign.
