2nd StarClass in Lausanne

- From 15-17 November the second StarClass competition of the season will take place in Lausanne-Zwitserland. The competition is organized by the 110 years old Club des Patineurs de Lausanne et Malley and is the first StarClass of the season for the Juniors-A, B and Seniors. skaters from 46 clubs out of 11 countries have entered for this competition. Among them skaters from Malaysia and Australia.
The competition takes place in the temporally Ice rink next to the newly build Malley Sport Centre. This new Arena is build on the place of the old Ice rink which was situated at that location from 1984 until 2017. At the moment builders are working very hard to have the stadium completely ready before the Youth Olympic Winter Games which starts on 9 January 2020.
The stadium is multi purpose and has recreational facilities and 3 Ice rinks. The main Ice Rink will accommodate 10.000 seats. Besides this there is an aquatic centre with an Olympic Swimming pool, a fencing centre and a table tennis centre. It is also planned to have around 50 concerts and shows a year in the main Ice rink.
