Minjeong Choi (KOR) and Charles Hamelin (CAN) Super Prestige 17-18

30 October 2018   -   New dimension in statistics

Shorttrackonline.info has started a new initiative in statistics! From now on we will make and publish the Shorttrackonline Super Prestige World Ranking Classification.

This SOL Super Prestige World Ranking Classification is made to determine who is the best overall shorttrack skater over the whole season based on the World Cups and World Championships.

A special point scoring system is developped for this based on the actual scoring of points during the Worldcups and World Championships.

You can find the SOL Super Prestige World Ranking Classification on this website on the page RANKINGS. We have published now the SOL Super Prestige World Ranking of the past 3 seasons. If you click on a name you will see a special page with all the points scored by that skater.

With this SOL Super Prestige World Ranking Classification we do hope to give an extra dimension to shorttrack speedskating and to give a helpfull tool for all federations in the world for promoting our sport.

In the season 2017-2018 the overall winners of the SOL Super Prestige World Ranking Classification was not yet official, but the winners would have been Minjeong Choi (KOR) and Charles Hamelin (CAN).

It is the intention to hand out a special award at the end of the season to the winners of the Shorttrackonline Super Prestige World Ranking Classification for 2018-2019.
