- The third distance of the World Junior Championships was the 1000m. Jinyu Li (CHN) won this distance, Yoon Jung Park (KOR) became 2nd and Claudia Heeney (CAN) became 3rd. The Mens 1000m was won by Ho Kyoung Jung (KOR), 2nd was Tae Sung Kim (KOR) and 3rd Kazuki Yoahinaga (JPN).
