European Youth Olympic Festival 2013 Brasov

16 February 2013   -   from 17-22 february the 11th edition of the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival is held in Brasov-Roumenia. Thanks to an initiative of Dr. Jacques Rogge, in 1990 the European Olympic Committees launched the "European Youth Olympic Days" (EYOD), now called “European Youth Olympic Festival” (EYOF), what is the only multi-sport event on this Continent. This event, which has a summer and a winter edition, is held every two year as a motivation event for young talented athletes to meet and learn the Olympic Values. In Brasov 8 sports are present among which is Short Track Speed Skating. For the Short Track competition more then 60 skaters out of 20 European countries came to Romania.
