World Juniors in Melbourne

22 February 2012   -   On the 24-26 of February the ISU World Junior Short Track Speed Skating Championships takes place in Melbourne-Australia. This competition organized by the Australian Speedskating Federation is being held in the middle of the Australian summer which for most of the competing countries is wintertime. The average temperature outdoors during the competition days will be around 35 degrees Celcius. The venue is the Medibank Icehouse on Pearl River road, which is also the Olympic training centre for winter sports. Attending this competition are 54 girls and 76 boys from 28 countries.
