European Calender Meeting Short Track in Munich

- On 9 and 10 May 2009 representatives of the European countries came together in Munich (Germany) for the Short Track Calendar Meeting. The meeting was friendly hosted by the DESG, coordinated by Matthias Kulik and was attended by 27 delegates. Among them also for the first time delegates from Turkey in the person of Ercüment Yildirum and Selim Demirci. Turkey is also going to start with short track and will host the Winter Universiade of 2011 in Erzurum. The StarClass and Danubia-cup competitions and the Future Champions Trophy were evaluated and new regulations were discussed. The proposals for venues and dates of the international Short Track competitions were discussed and the provisional calendar was composed. Manfred Zojer, President of the Austrian Federation, gave the first information about the Youth Olympic Winter Games which will take place in 2012 in Innsbruck. The final of the Danubia Cup and StarClass, the Future Champions Trophy, will in 2010 take place in Budapest (HUN). The provisional calendar is published on this website. The official calendar will be published after ratification on the website of the ISU.
