- Annita van Doorn won her first national Dutch champions title. During the 2-day championships in Zoetermeer, she took the first place on all four distances, and concluded the competition in style with a national record in the 3000 m super final. Jorien ter Mors took the second place, and Sanne van Kerkhof the third.
The Men's competition was exciting with Sjinkie Knegt and Niels Kerstholt as the main contenders for the title. Kerstholt won the 1500 m and Knegt the 500 m. A disqualification for Knegt in the 1000 m final proved to be the decision: the title was for Kerstholt, and Knegt took the silver medal. Freek van der Wart won the bronze medal.
