Ventspils: Haralds Silovs gives Latvia a present

20 January 2008   -   The Latvian skater Haralds Silovs has given his country a beautiful present by winning the European Short Track Speed Skating Championship which was held in Ventspils-Latvia. He won the 1500 meter, became 2nd on the 1000 meter and won the 3000 meter super-final in a fantastic race. The 2nd place in the overall-classification was for Niels Kerstholt (NED). He won the 1000 meter and became 3rd in the 3000 meter super-final. The 3rd place overall was for Nicola Rodigari (ITA) who was 2nd on the 500 meter and 2nd in the 3000 meter super-final.
