Season West Europe starts with Open Dutch
24 September 2014
- The Open Dutch Shorttrack in Amsterdam is this season the start of the international season for club competitions in West Europe. Normally this competition took place at the end of the season, but because of the fact that at the end of the season (too) many competitions for clubs took place, the competition was changed to October. This creates an extra challenge for many skaters to achieve the limit times for a.o. the StarClass competitions. Also the format of the competitions has changed a little bit. On the Friday free training sessions are available for the skaters and on the Friday evening an extra competition for special awards is held under the name of Open Dutch Speed Challenge. All information can be found in the Announcement on the entry page.
